Air Serbia and WestJet enter into a partnership: New travel options for Canada
04 June 2026
Air Serbia, the national carrier of the Republic of Serbia, and WestJet, one of Canada’s leading airlines, entered into a commercial partnership by inking a special prorate agreement (SPA), further improving connections between Europe and Canada.
Thanks to this partnership, the passengers of Air Serbia and WestJet will have access to an expanded network of destinations in Canada and Europe, making it easier to plan trips. Thanks to Air Serbia’s direct flights between Belgrade and Toronto, passengers will be able to connect with numerous Canadian cities in WestJet’s network, including Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver.
This partnership brings greater flexibility and availability of destinations, an improved customer experience, and a simplified airfare purchasing process for connecting flights.
Sales are expected to launch today, June 4, via the official sales channels of Air Serbia and WestJet.
“Cooperation with WestJet is an important step forward in further expansion of our presence on the North American market. With this partnership, we offer an ever-wider choice of destinations across Canada to our passengers, with easier and more efficient connections via Toronto,” said Jiří Marek, CEO of Air Serbia.
“We are pleased to welcome Air Serbia as our newest interline partner,” said John Weatherill, WestJet Group Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer. “WestJet and Air Serbia are making it easier for travellers to explore more of Canada with confidence and convenience. With a significant diaspora across Canada, we look forward to welcoming Serbs across our network via Toronto Pearson, helping more travellers reach the people and places that matter most.”
Air Serbia and WestJet will continue to explore ways to strengthen cooperation and offer better travel options for passengers.
