Air Serbia has already exceeded the number of passengers from 2023
Since the beginning of the year, Air Serbia has carried more than 4.19 million passengers, surpassing the total number of passengers from the record-setting 2023 by the beginning of December. According to current projections and the planned volume of traffic, it is expected that the Serbian national airline will end 2024 with around 4.4 million passengers, which would be the second-best result in the company's more than 97 years long history.
“In less than a year, we have earned the trust of over 4.19 million passengers who have chosen Air Serbia for their travels. We are aware that their expectations are high, and we will continue to improve all areas of our business to justify our passengers' trust every day. We remain dedicated to growing and improving, listening to the needs of passengers and striving to offer them even more options for travelling,” said Jiri Marek, CEO of Air Serbia.
In November 2024, the Serbian national airline carried 295,828 passengers from Belgrade, Niš and Kraljevo and operated 3,427 flights to more than 60 destinations throughout Europe, Asia and North America.
Air Serbia has practically doubled its network in the past three years and expanded it with almost 50 new destinations. The airline plans to continue expanding its flight offerings in the coming year. In addition to Shanghai, China, which Air Serbia will begin flying to on 11 January 2025, direct flights to popular Mediterranean islands are also planned for the upcoming summer season, providing passengers with even more vacation options.
