01 April 2026
The latest addition to Air Serbia’s fleet, an Airbus A320 aircraft bearing the registration code YU-APT, today ceremonially completed its first flight in the national airline’s colours on the scheduled route between Belgrade and Podgorica. The aircraft, manufactured in 2014, with a capacity of 180 seats, further strengthens the operational capabilities of the national airline.
The Airbus A320-232 is powered by two IAE engines, each delivering 24,000 lbf (106.75 kN) of thrust, while the aircraft’s dimensions – a wingspan of 35.80 metres, a length of 37.57 metres, and a maximum cruising altitude of 39,800 feet – ensure optimal performance on short- and medium-haul routes. Before arriving in Serbia, YU-APT underwent a full repaint at Shannon, Ireland, receiving Air Serbia’s new visual identity, featuring the national carrier’s distinctive livery.
Air Serbia’s fleet currently comprises more than 30 aircraft of various types, including wide-body Airbus A330-200, narrow-body A320-200 and A319-100, Embraer E-195, and ATR 72-600. Continuous investment in fleet modernisation and enhancement confirms the company’s strategic commitment to developing its network of destinations, increasing the number of flights, and improving service quality.
