Munich is back in Air Serbia’s network: direct flights resume after 18 years

Air Serbia today officially resumed direct flights between Belgrade and Munich with flight JU342/3, after an 18-year break. Flights between the Serbian capital and Bavaria’s largest city will operate daily, further improving connectivity with one of Europe’s leading business hubs.
“By commencing a direct route between Belgrade and Munich, we are further strengthening our presence on the German market and improving Serbia’s connectivity with an important transport and economic hub in Europe. Munich is a significant destination both for business travellers and tourists. By introducing daily flights, we are reaffirming our commitment to expanding our network and continuously responding to market and passenger needs, while also enabling fast and convenient connections via Belgrade to our wide network of destinations,” said Jiří Marek, CEO of Air Serbia.
Air Serbia now flies directly from Belgrade and Niš to as many as ten destinations in Germany. Flights from Belgrade to Munich operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 07:10 a.m., while return flights are scheduled for 09:30 a.m. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, flights from Belgrade depart at 05:55 p.m., with return flights from Munich at 08:15 p.m.
Munich is one of Europe’s key business, trade fair, and tourist centres. The city is known for its rich history, architecture, and numerous cultural events of global significance, notably the famous Oktoberfest. It is also an important aviation hub that offers passengers numerous options for onward travel around the world.
From Munich, via Belgrade, passengers will have good connectivity to other cities in the Air Serbia network, including: New York, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Istanbul, Athens, Thessaloniki, Rhodes, Corfu, Heraklion, Mykonos, Santorini, Larnaca, Tbilisi, İzmir, Malaga, Naples, Palermo, Catania, Malta, Varna, Bucharest, Sofia, Budapest, Vienna, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Sarajevo, Skopje, Tirana, Podgorica, Tivat, Mostar, Ohrid, Dubrovnik, Split, Rijeka, Pula, Zadar and Brač. Thanks to a carefully curated flight schedule, Belgrade is further established as a key transit hub connecting Bavaria with the Balkan region, the Mediterranean, and strategic destinations in North America and Asia.
